Foo Fighters announce two tribute reveals to honor late band member Taylor Hawkins

“For our pricey buddy, our bada** bandmate, our beloved brother…Foo Fighters and The Hawkins household convey you the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert events,” the band introduced Wednesday in a post on its official Instagram account.

The live shows will happen with the group’s remaining members — Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee — on September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium and on September 27 on the Kia Discussion board in Los Angeles.

The band has teamed up with Hawkins’ household for the reveals.

Hawkins’ spouse, Alison Hawkins, posted a message to followers on her husband’s Instagram account to coincide with the tribute live shows’ announcement.

“My deepest thanks and admiration exit to the worldwide Foo Fighters neighborhood and Taylor’s followers far and large for the outpouring of affection each one in all you’ve proven our beloved Taylor. Your kindness has been a useful consolation for my household and me throughout this time of unimaginable grief,” the message learn partly.

Hawkins, 50, died March 25 in Bogotá, Colombia, hours earlier than the Foo Fighters had been set to take the stage on the Competition Estereo Picnic. The band instantly canceled its remaining tour dates.

Hawkins joined Foo Fighters in 1997, first showing with the band on the tour supporting their sophomore album, “The Color and the Form.”
